Top Tier Moving Group: Full HGM research
Research reviewed October 8, 2026. Records and terms can change.
Federal records, operating arrangements, consumer accounts and source limitations behind the short company profile.
Research context and what to verify
Match your documents to the federal entity and identify the company performing the move. Selected accounts describe experiences, not how often an outcome occurs.
Federal identity and operating structure
SAFER legal-name field: TOP TIER MOVING GROUP; USDOT 4084338; MC-1554538. No DBA is displayed. Company and BBB materials use Top Tier Moving Group LLC, and the company website connects that name to the same identifiers. The retrieved federal location is Lake Worth, Florida; differing platform location labels are not treated as separate authority records or evidence of a different carrier.
Top Tier arranges moves; separately performing carriers handle physical transportation. Named carriers in particular accounts are not evidence that every Top Tier booking uses those carriers.
Federal recheck: October 8, 2026. SAFER displays data as of October 6, 2026, active USDOT status, entity type BROKER, Broker of Household Goods authority and no out-of-service date. Verify current authority and filings through FMCSA before booking.
Review evidence and dated accounts
Conservative retained sample: approximately 13 account groups:
- Six selected ConsumerAffairs narratives.
- Six Trustpilot move/account groups.
- One BBB scheduling/refund complaint, with all replies treated as one case.
Publication range: January 31–October 5, 2026. Underlying move dates include June–September 2026.
Dated anchors:
- ConsumerAffairs, Anna, January 31: scheduling, storage and clear cost/delivery communication.
- ConsumerAffairs, Lee, January 31: praise for the performing crew alongside quote-to-door communication concerns.
- ConsumerAffairs, Josh, February 2: inventory/space dispute; acknowledged an inventory increase but challenged broker coordination.
- ConsumerAffairs, Akeem, May 28: identifies Applause Moving & Storage as the carrier; Top Tier’s reply confirms that assignment and reports pursuing an overpayment issue. consumeraffairs.com
- Trustpilot, Tyler, September 25: identifies Rigo’s Delivery and praises the first half of the move.
- Trustpilot, Shlomi and Isabelle, August: helpful support and short-notice arrangements.
- Trustpilot, Jessica, October 5: favorable interstate-move account. trustpilot.com
Duplicate and attribution handling:
- Beth and Brandon Goad’s linked shipment accounts count as one experience.
- Short same-period reviews naming the same Rigo’s crew were not all pooled as separate substantive accounts.
- Preview excerpts, full reviews and updates count once.
- Praise for named delivery crews remains carrier-side; incomplete-move reviews do not establish successful final delivery.
Resolution updates:
- BBB September 9 complaint: Top Tier said a $500 refund had been processed; the customer disputed receipt on September 10. Keep it contested, not resolved.
- Trustpilot replies describe claim assistance and disputed charges, but do not establish completed reimbursement or a settled claim. Better Business Bureau
Reported favorable experiences
Selected ConsumerAffairs and Trustpilot accounts describe helpful planning, responsive support and accommodation of short-notice or changing plans. Professional, efficient performing crews are described in identified moves. These crew findings concern carriers booked through Top Tier.
Reported concerns and attribution
Consumer accounts describe inventory/volume estimates and later price changes, expectations about broker involvement versus the assigned carrier, timing information and support after pickup, and refund or carrier-damage-claim assistance. Company explanations are retained alongside the accounts.
Policy context and resolution updates
In the BBB September 9 scheduling/refund complaint, Top Tier said a $500 refund had been processed. The customer disputed receipt September 10. Processing claimed by the company is not confirmed receipt; the outcome remains disputed.
Trustpilot replies describe claim assistance and disputed charges without establishing completed reimbursement or a settled claim. ConsumerAffairs’ Akeem account names Applause Moving & Storage; Top Tier confirms the assignment and reports pursuing an overpayment issue. That response is not proof of a completed refund. Damage during carrier performance and the broker’s response to requests for assistance are distinguished.
Evidence limitations and excluded sources
The retained sample is approximately 13 account groups, not a platform total or a representative success rate. Beth and Brandon Goad’s linked shipment accounts count as one experience. Short same-period reviews naming the same Rigo’s crew were not all counted separately. Preview excerpts, full accounts and updates count once. RatingFacts and MoveAdvisor material was screened for syndication or possible cross-posting and not added to the retained sample.
Praise for Applause Moving & Storage or Rigo’s Delivery remains carrier-side. Pickup-only or planning-only praise cannot establish successful final delivery. Platform “verified purchase” labels are platform classifications, not independent HGM verification. Company testimonials and marketing ratings were not counted as independent reviews.
Neither uniform carrier quality nor claim-payment outcomes, deliberate underquoting, guaranteed pickup dates or the prevalence of disputed charges can be established from this selected evidence.
Review methodology
Review research checked October 8, 2026. Federal records independently rechecked October 8, using SAFER snapshots displaying October 6, 2026 data. Review dates, sample selection and case updates are detailed above. Counts describe selected account groups, not independently authenticated transactions or platform-wide outcomes. Excerpts, full reviews and updates to the same experience count once; uncertain cross-platform duplicates are not pooled. Broker activity, carrier performance and unidentified providers remain distinct. Reviewer accounts are not verified events. No ratings, representative percentages or unsupported frequency claims are calculated. Sources can change.
